An almost empty space seeming dark, but in fact, brightly lit with Infra Red light. There appears to be nothing apart from a large projection screen connected to a CCTV Infra Red camera however, the walls are decorated with Infra Red artwork representing architectural drawings. These drawings have a very distinct perspective and they appear to eliminate the boundaries of the walls. A quotation of Lao Tzu is used, “Thus what we gain is something, yet it is the virtue of nothing, that this can be put to use”. This phrase maps onto the space through a network of proximity sensors, where each has an area representing the presence of a word. This network of sensors is connected to a computer assessing the dynamics inside the space and it produces words according to the level of activity and positioning of people within the installation.
